Pleke Pleke: November Party in Getsemaní

On 16 November the Cabildo de Getsemaní opens for Pleke Pleke, a party built by the neighborhood rather than for tourists. Son de la Lomba plays with Faruk Kozma, the sonero from El Pedregal, answered by Gran Félix de Rocha, the legendary picó sound system of Getsemaní.

There is no VIP area and no guest list. Only 200 people get in, and once it fills up, that is it. Doors open in the afternoon and the music runs until sunrise. Tickets cost 30,000 pesos, with local brands such as Planeta Champeta and Coto Bar hosting.
