The day starts with pickup at your accommodation in Cartagena in an air-conditioned vehicle. The drive leaves the city behind and the landscape shifts on the way to the crater of the Totumo Volcano, with other travellers along for the ride.
Inside the crater you soak in warm mud that works as a natural exfoliant and leaves the skin soft. After the bath comes the local snack: arepa de huevo with a cold drink. Then there is free time to walk around the Totumo lagoon.
The return to Cartagena lands around 11:00 a.m. on the morning tour or around 4:30 p.m. on the afternoon one, dropping you back at your accommodation. Travel insurance is included. Bring a towel, since towels are not.
